Saturday Ravings

Don’t we all wish every now and again that life was like the movies? A utopian style society sounds like a grand design yet man will never live to see the day he lives in such a manner. As people, we are barbaric and harsh. The days of the inquisition and crusades are all over. However, even living in a day such as this we, as a race, still manage to find ourselves in some type of war. War is an evil thing. It festers away like a sore until it ruins the body with infection and gangrene leaving only mutilation and death in its wake. In a time when we are the most enlightened and intelligent in history, we still manage to screw up a good thing. It is high time we as a combined force stop allowing those that only wish to pamper their egos for the simple fact they can. It is time people see the war for what it is, men and women being maimed and killed while maiming and killing. Stop the war now. How can we teach our children that fighting is not the answer when the highest official in the United States wages war against those who happen to not believe as he does? The quick and short of it is: We can’t.
